NZ brake testing rules, explained
Under NZTA's Heavy Vehicle Brakes Rule, every heavy vehicle over 3,500 kg needs a brake test at each CoF. That test is done on a roller brake machine with the vehicle semi-laden or under a simulated load, which is what our STT45 load simulation lift kit is built for.
Brake testers used for WOF and COF testing must also be approved by NZTA, and ours are.

Recent job: STT45 rollers, Hastings (October 2026)
After years of testing trucks and buses, a customer's STT45 heavy vehicle brake tester had rollers worn smooth, and worn rollers mean less grip and less accurate brake readings. We fitted a full set of new grit-coated rollers with fresh bearings and re-tensioned the drive chains. The lane is back to full grip, with reliable, repeatable results.
